The Frank Klausz Workbench

Certainly one of the best, most well known and prettiest workbenches made is the famous Scandanavian style bench designed by Frank Klausz. A great design!

Thanks to Ellis Walentine of www.woodcentral.com who provided photos of his beautiful new bench that he built with Frank last year. Ellis' bench is curly beech and bloodwood, with birdseye maple back board, curly maple top on the tail vise and a Thai rosewood shoulder vise face.

You can see the article he wrote with Frank about these benches in the October 2004 issue of Woodworker's Journal. It's a revised bench construction article that has some additional information and photos that don't appear in Landis'
book.

The plan, detailed photos and instructions are available with several others in The Workbench Book by Scott Landis.
